Anil Kapoor recalled that Shah Rukh Khan had a dream of owning the bungalow Mannat before he eventually bought the property. Kapoor noted that Shah Rukh Khan lived in a flat during the period when the Tezaab shoot took place at the location.
Mannat is a heritage, sea-facing bungalow on Bandra’s Bandstand. Shah Rukh Khan bought the property in 2000 and it has been his family home since.

Anil Kapoor first met Shah Rukh Khan while Kapoor was shooting the film Benaam Badshah, which released in 1991. Kapoor said he felt Shah Rukh Khan would become a very big star at that time.
